Kekerapan lakonanya dipertonton di televisyen tidak membataskan keinginanya itu.
Satu program yang melibatkan parti dari PKR khususnya untuk anak perantau dari kelantan telah diadakan pada 18 Disember 2012 bertempat di Ampang dan iannya turut dihadiri oleh pelakon veteran ini dan dikatakan secara rasmi juga sudah sah menyertai PKR.
Beberapa rancangan siri ceramah yang melibatkan kemunculan Mustapa Kamal diatas pentas parti politik ini juga dijangka akan dapat dilihat dengan lebih kerap seperti mana yang dilakukan oleh ‘Ustazah Abby Abadi, Ustaz Bob Lokman.
Ustaz Hairi Othman’ dan kini senarai selebriti ini akan bertambah dengan kemunculan Mustapha Kamal pula.
