Pengerusi Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Pulau Pinang, Datuk Mansor Othman mengumumkan Badrul Hisham Shahrin atau lebih dikenali sebagai Chegu Bard sebagai calon parti itu bagi kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) Sungai Acheh.
Kerusi berkenaan dimenangi oleh Datuk Mahmud Zakaria daripada Barisan Nasional pada pilihan raya umum 2008.
Pada pilihan raya umum ke-12, Badrul Hisham telah bertanding kerusi Parlimen Rembau bagaimanapun beliau tewas kepada Ketua Pemuda Umno, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar.
Beliau juga pernah bertanding kerusi DUN Rantau dan tewas kepada Menteri Besar Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Seri Mohammad Hasan pada 2004.
Berdasarkan maklumat yang admin perolehi dari SKUAD LENSA NIBONG TEBAL WARRIORS semalam, ketika majlis ceramah berlangsung, beberapa ahli NGO pro pakatan bertindak mengedarkan sehelai borang pendaftaran Pemantau Pilihanraya Rakyat kepada sebahagian golongan muda yang hadir.
