PRASARANA and @azmiaziz60 Goes for #LRT3 , Another Milestone in Malaysia's Light Rail Transit System

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) – project owner of the new LRT Line 3 from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia in Klang or LRT3 today announced that tender documents for pre-qualified contractors bidding to be the Project Delivery Partner (PDP) is ready for collection.

Prasarana Group Managing Director Encik Azmi Abdul Aziz said that the pre-qualified contractors have been notified to collect the tender documents at its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur from yesterday.

“A number of the pre-qualified contractors have even collected their tender documents yesterday. The contractors now have until 12 noon on June 9, 2015 to submit their proposals to Prasarana for the assignment,” he added.

Designed to ease traffic congestion in Klang Valley and connected to the current LRT Kelana Jaya Line and upcoming MRT Line 1 Sungai Buloh – Kajang, the proposed alignment of the LRT3 is currently being finalised by the Land Public Transport Commission, which is the regulatory authority on public transport matters.

For us at #TeamMKP, the decision of PRASARANA to go through with LRT Line 3 is great news to the people at Bandar Utama & Klang as now they would have access to efficient public transportation and enhanced connectivity to the Greater Kuala Lumpur public transportation system. In addition to accessibility, LRT Line 3 will reduce the traffic congestion in these two (2) sub-cities thus giving people a better quality of life.

Not to forget, due to LRT Line 3, the property prices in Bandar Utama to Johan Setia in Klang and the surrounding vicinity will also be increased. This in turn will only benefit the people as they will gain a hefty profit if they were to sell their properties. What say you?
